TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
In the seven years 2007 – 2013 the Maltese and Gozitans are going to pay €420,000,000 to the European Union
Solemn Declaration by CNI for National Freedom
The
President of the Campaign for National Independence
CNI,
Dr Karmernu Mifsud Bonnici, during a press conference in their offices in Mosta,
presented in an official manner a solemn declaration in the name of the Maltese
and Gozitan people with the aim of the European institutions becoming aware of
the fact that the Maltese people have the right to fight to acquire back the
Freedom, Independence, Sovereignty and Neutrality of our country.
The
President Mifsud Bonnici said that the declaration was registered yesterday
morning in the Notarial Acts by all the members of the Committee.
Dr Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici reiterated that the treaty that the Nationalist
Government signed with the EU last year is one that is denying the sovereignty
of our country.
He also said that the declaration is being sent to all the EU Member states as
well as to all the Members of the European Parliament.
This
is with the hope that they shall feel a sense of remorse and makes them
conscious of the damage that the treaty signed by Malta with the EU is going to
have on all the Maltese and Gozitan people.
”Free and
neutral Malta shall overcome every difficulty that we have today”,
continued to say Dr Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici.
He continued to say that the declaration is going to have a strong effect on those who are pretending that there is agreement among all the Maltese people on the EU membership agreement.
He
reiterated that they are going to be the voice for all those who neither agreed
with the treaty prior to last year’s referendum and who are still denying the
membership agreement.
The Committee member Eddie Privitera said that it was the fault of the Nationalist government and the YES camp that did not inform the Maltese people that our country shall not be entitles to the funds from the European Union that they had promised us.
This is because in 2001, the EU social and economic committee clearly said that Malta was expected to exceed the 75 percent level and therefore cannot be eligible for funds.
This
is due to the fact that together with Malta other countries are becoming members
and their level is very much lower than that of our country.
