If the Euro fails, the European Union fails

The German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, last week in the German Parliament justified the loan of billions of euros that Germany had to give to Greece and to the Stabilization Fund of the Euro Zone Economy, by saying that if the euro fails the European Union will fail with it.

Merkel made this statement when she knows that while there are another 16 European Union member countries that are in the Euro Zone, there are another 11 European Union member countries that are not in the Euro Zone.

Among them are the United Kingdom, Sweden and Denmark.

This statement by Merkel witnesses how grave is the euro crisis for the Chancellor to consider that it will fail if the Euro Zone countries, together with the European Union Central Bank, the international Monetary Fund (IMF) and the European Union itself do not spend €110 billion and €750 billion for the financial stability of Greece and of the European Union countries who find themselves in a bad financial position and may go bankrupt.

According to the Minister for Finance Tonio Fenech, Malta’s share is going to be of €74 million and between €350 and €400 million.

Malta is going to spend €74 million and between €350 and €400 million to help the euro currency from failure.

This fact shows how false were the speeches that thank God that we had adopted the euro to save ourselves during the present international recession.

Instead of the euro saving us, the euro became a millstone and a burden for us it wants us to help to save it and the European Union.

A Union of debtors

Many are the European Union countries that are in a precarious financial situation with great debt accumulated over a number of years, more than 60% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and/or a yearly deficit of more than 3% of the same GDP, with a clear breach of the European Union Growth and Stability Pact according to the Maastricht agreement.

The list of these countries who are not according to the European Union rules is long

* and includes apart from Malta,

* Germany,

* France,

* the United Kingdom,

* Italy,

* Spain,

* Ireland,

* Greece,

* Portugal,

* Hungary,

* Romania,

* Latvia

* and others.

Some of these European Union countries

* had to submit themselves for help from the International Monetary Fund

* and submit to its harsh conditions,

* including reductions in wages,

* in pensions and

* social benefits,

* and privatization

* and loss of employment.

Unemployment increased to more than 23 million workers and the millions of families who live in danger of poverty are much more.

It can be said that the European Union is a union of debtor countries,

* of great unemployment

* and widespread poverty,

* and instead of moving forward,

* are going backwards like a crab.

Unfortunately we became its member and with it are doing badly while with great irresponsibility brag like Joha (a fool) how well we are doing.

Loss of sovereignty

With the pretext of saving the euro,

* the leaders of the European Union

* and of the two European Union biggest members,

* Germany and France,

* are insisting that the European Union

* need to acquire more controls over the Governments of the member countries

* by these countries to continue to cede more of what little sovereignty remains.

They are insisting that the European Union should have economic government or as the French call it ‘gouvernement economique’ of the 27 member countries.

As a first step they are proposing that every government first presents the budget to the European Commission and then to the Council of Ministers of Finance of the European Union, and only after it is approved, they may present it before the National Parliament.

This proposal that the European Union first has to approve the Maltese Government budget before it can be presented to the Maltese Parliament is national humiliation, and takes us back to the time prior to acquiring autonomy in our affairs from the British Government.

With great sorrow, and at the same time with great anger, we have to admit that we were shuddered when we heard our Prime Minister and the Minister for Finance support and praise this proposal.

We hope that all the Maltese and Gozitans who have a sense of what being an independent and free country, will rebel against this denial of national

Mintoff and Borg Olivier did not work hard so that we the Maltese and Gozitans will be independent and free with our destiny in our hands, for Fenech Adami and Gonzi to again make us ruled by foreigners.

Are our Parliamentary members also going to submit also to this betrayal of popular sovereignty?

Do not reduce the military spending

By By Charles Micallef,  Campaign for National Independence CNI

The European Union is really well, as God wants it.

It told the Greek Government

* to reduce as much as it wants and can the wages

* and working conditions of the workers,

* to reduce pensions

* and increase the pensionable age to 65 years,

* to reduce the payments for social services,

* to freeze wages

* and to reduce as much as possible the number of Government employees.

In a few words the European Union does not care if the Greek working class becomes a class of beggars or not.

It does not care if the Greek working class dies of hunger or misery.

The main interest is that it does not touch its military spending.

To be able to buy armaments from the European producers, mostly German and French, for their owners to continue to become richer and financially stronger.

So that then these armaments will be used by the Greek army at NATO in Iraq and Afghanistan – two countries who in the recent Greek history didn’t do anything to it.

The same as they didn’t do anything against all the European Union countries and those of the Euro Zone.

What I said about how the European Union treats Greece also applies to all the small European Union and Euro Zone countries.

First and foremost for the European Union comes militarism.

They do not reduce the military expense.

They only reduce the expense of the social services and everything else that goes against the interests of the workers.

This is not a social European Union.

This is an unbridled capitalist Union that does not even allow the governments to create work themselves if the private sector fails to do so.

They prefer to see a queue of people without work in front of registration offices rather than seeing the workers working.

Because the full belly never cared for the empty belly.

Look at what happened to the British Labour Party, it lost the election because it did not remain a Welfare State socialist party, of the workers.

The British workers wanted a really Labour party but the British Labour Party turned into a capitalist party and a party in favour of wars, because wars make the owners of armament factories and soldiers’ uniforms and sailors rich.

Therefore the British reasoned that with a capitalist party they will elect the Conservatives to Government.

Thus they gave a lesson to the British Labour Party who did not remain a workers’ party.

It became a party of the rich, because Blair and Brown were Labour only in name.

That is why the British workers left them and paid them back because they removed them from Government.

The European Union cannot remain a militarist-capitalist union – capitalist where money for wars is found but they do not find the money for the working class.

In the European Union there are 23 million unemployed.

There is great corruption and tax evasion by the rich class.

With the European Union, the working class is always blamed.

It wants that wherever there is the Welfare State, it should be broken down and dismantled, on the pretext that the countries are not able to bear the costs.

That is why the European Union did not tell the Greek Government not to decrease its military spending.

That no.

That you do not touch.

Buy armaments against revolts against the governments and for NATO wars as much as you want and as much as you like.

These reasons led me to the strong opinion that Malta will do well to leave the European Union and the Euro Zone as soon as possible.

Malta with a grant of €27 million to Greece notwithstanding billions of debt

By Eddy Privitera, Campaign for National Independence CNI

The European Union has for years been trying to create “European citizens” instead of Italian, French, German and other citizens, but has never succeeded.

Frequently research was carried out in the European Union member countries in which they asked the people, especially youths, if they feel “European” more than they feel Italians, French, German, and from the other European Union member countries.

The answers were always that the citizens of the European Union member countries felt themselves fir as Italians, French, Germans and the same did the others, before they are also Europeans.

This was the reason why a decision was taken to start a new strategy aimed at young children who were still at school, because it is much easier to manipulate the minds of children than of those who have already grown up.

This was the strategy that led to the establishment in all schools, both in the European Union member countries and also in those counties that had applied to become European Union members, including Malta.

We from the CNI forthwith said what were the aims behind the introduction of the “European Studies” in schools.

As had also been said by the Opposition speaker.

At that time the European Commission was shy to say that it wanted the children to study about the European Union.

The latest attempt of the EU to brainwash the mind of Maltese and Gozitan children was launched lately with the project “The magic adventures of Tommy and Rosy” which included a 15-minute film and a book accompanying this film.

The Parliamentary Secretary Chris Said launched this propagandistic attack on our children’s minds in the Eden Cinemas in St Julians during the screening of this cartoon.

The Honourable Said made a political and propagandistic speech about the European Union in which he mentioned all the usual European Union awe and the usual obscene lie that the “European Union meant 60 years of peace in the European continent”.

When actually it was the reciprocal fear that the Western countries had, led by the United States of America united in the NATO military alliance, as well as the Soviet Union with its dependent countries, under the military umbrella of the Warsaw Pact.

The two blocks knew that another war would mean the destruction of the two blocks.

It was this fear that kept the peace – if we forget the limited wars that happened in Europe – and not in the EU.

Can we say that our children will be told that the scope of the creation of the single European currency, the euro, had more a political than an economic scope, because from the economic aspect, it does not make sense to create a single currency for many countries with economies different from each other?

In the meantime we came to know that MEUSAC, which is serving to spread as much as possible the propaganda in favour of the European Union in our country, in the coming four years.

All this reminds me how the Nazi Government in Germany used to work prior to the last world war.
