WELCOME TO THE CNI WEBPAGE
CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers
and against Malta's membership of the European Union
TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
The European Union ordered that as from 2010 the Maltese and Gozitan people pay it €182,192 daily stolen from your childrens mouths
Neutrality is the best policy for us

THE
EUROPEANUNION does not want our coutnry to be neutral because it want it to
embrace the Union foreign and security policy.
The servile Maltese politicians who want to obey the Union, are preparing the road for the people to accept taht neutrality be done away with from the Constitution of Malta.
This
step means a betrayal of the best interests of our people.
Now that the Lisbon Treaty has entered into effect,
* the EU has a Commissioner,
* Lady Ashton,
* who takes care of the EU relations with foreign countries
* and represents the Union in the foreign affairs sector.
Lady
Ashton speaks on behalf Malta and all the other Union
countries.
She implements the Union common foreign policy,
* not the foreign policy of Malta,
* because the Union common foreign policy
* is not a policy of neutrality,
* as explained in the Constitution of Malta.
Those who want our country to cede neutrality brings the excuse that today’s political circumstances are not the same as those of 1987, when we introduced in our Constitution the concept that Malta is a neutral state that actively works for peace, security and social progress for all people, by embracing a policy of non-alignment and does not become a member in any military alliance.
The Constitution of Malta and the EU do not tally
The
Constitution of Malta is one of non-alignment,
* and the EU,
* if it is not already,
* is developing into a military alliance
* and is setting up a European army.
That is why the Union policy does not tally with the Constitution of Malta.
And
that is why the politicians who are servile to the EU want to amend that
Constitution of Malta so as not to remain not tallying with the Union policy.
The
European Union leaders and the Maltese politicians servile to it bring the
excuse that once the cold war no longer exists and there aren’t the Western
countries on one side and the Eastern countries on the other side, as there was
in 1987, there is no scope for our country not to lean to one side or the other.
But this is false reasoning because today there is a great rift between the people of the Western countries and the people of many other world countries, who fell threatened by the financial, economic and military strength of the West.
Today even though there is no threat of a military attack from outside on some European country or the United States, the European countries and the United States just the same fell that their security is threatened from attacks or attempts from inside the country itself.
Tension and lack of security
Whoever
does not want to deceive our people
* should admit that in the main European Union member countries -
* such as England,
* Germany,
* France,
* Italy and
* Spain –
* there exists a continuous tension
* and the need for great guarding
* for attacks or attempts
* organized by enemies of the system
* and of the Governments policy of these countries.
However, we can say that up till now this tension does not exist in our country, and there are no threats of attacks or attempts against the policy and system of our Government.
Whoever is honest and objective should reflect and realize that the lack of tension and security that there is in the country are the fruit of our neutrality and non-alignment policy.
This selects us from the other European Union people in the eyes of the peoples outside the block, who feel that the governments of the European countries are their enemies, notwithstanding that they are friends of their governments.
We should understand that if we do not want to be in the same storms of tension and threats for security that the other EU people are in, we should continue to embrace a different foreign policy than theirs, that is from the European common foreign and security policy.
Neutrality is the best protection
Against
the threat of attacks or attempts from inside the country, no amount of
armaments are as useful as the policy of neutrality and non-alignment because
this does not shield attacks and attempts, but prevents that them from being
made because the Maltese people will not be considered as the other European
Union people.
That is why the policy of neutrality and non-alignment is the greatest shield that the Maltese people have for their protection and security.
The
European Union common foreign and security policy
* not only is not better for our people
* than the policy of neutrality and non-alignment,
* but neither does it give a modern hue to our Constitution,
* because it is a policy built on the old foundations of the Cold War,
* when Western Europe felt that it could secure its security by military forces.
Today no European Union country can secure protection for its people by the strength of military means, because the danger is internally, from inside, and no military force can be a shield for it.
If the European Union wants to have more security and peace, it has to change its policy and adopt the Maltese policy of neutrality and non-alignment.
Because in this sense it is useful for the Union even economically, because it can dedicate the billions that it is spending to strengthen its military forces in projects and useful for the millions of Europeans who live in poverty, or who are unemployed.
After all, all the people who today consider the EU as their enemy will not remain antagonistic to it if it puts aside its present foreign policy and embraces the Maltese policy of neutrality and non-alignment, which is the ideal policy for today’s modern circumstances.
We have come out worse with our EU membership
The
Maltese people were better when they were still not European Union members?
The answer to this question that he EU propagandists are expected to give is “Yes”.
But the answer that the greater mass of the Maltese and Gozitan people give is No, because they are far worse.
Who are the many Maltese and Gozitans who are far worse following membership?

They
are the great thousands of housewives
* who cannot keep up with the unchecked cost of living
* that has exploded following Union membership
* with their husbands wages.
They are the thousands of workers
* who lost their jobs
* when the factories where they were employed
* had to close down because of the EU policies and regulations.
They
are the best tradesmen that our country had,
* who ended up without work
* or doing work that has nothing to do with their trade,
* when the Malta Shipyard was put in disarray because that is what the EU wanted.
Far worse following EU membership
* are the Maltese entrepreneurs
* whose enterprises used to work for the local market
* and who had to close down
* because the EU did not permit
* the continuation of aid to compete
* with foreign competing products.
Worse
off with EU membership,
* are the Char-a-bancs owners who,
* because of the European policy,
* are going to have their work taken away from them
* and they shall have to scrap
* their vehicles.
Not
better following EU membership,
* are the employees of enterprises
* that were privatized,
* as ordered by Brussels,
* and whose wages were reduced,
* while their working conditions worsened instead of being made better.
Worse off are the couples wanting to get married who,
* due to the effects of the EU policy
* that prohibits the granting of State aid for social housing,
* cannot pay the prices for plots to build their homes,
* or buy a house,
* and neither can they pay today’s high rent demanded for houses.
Much
worse following membership
* are the thousands of hunters
* and trappers
* who feel desperate
* denied from spring hunting
* and the trapping hobby.
They
understand that they are in a worse position after 1 May, 2004,
* the unemployed Maltese and Gozitans
* who just the same see thousands of foreigners
* from other EU countries
* working here instead of them
* with lower wages
* and they have to make do
* with unemployment social assistance.

Worse
are the farmers
* because of the unbridled importation
* of foreign products,
* as well as the fishermen
* because of the obstacles that the European Union
* makes on the amount of fish that they can catch
* and other pressures that it is imposing on them.
Apart
from these thousands of Maltese and Gozitans
* who feel that they personally are worse off with EU membership,
* the country itself is in a much worse situation
* because its financial situation has weakened
* not strengthened with the amount of debt,
* exports have decreased not increased,
* the burden of taxes has increased not lightened
* and poverty has also increased.

Social
trouble has increased in the country after EU membership
* with the spreading of the corruption cancer
* and the drugs and betting vices
* destroying thousands of youths and families.
The strong moral values of the people were weakened in honour of progress without values that the EU preaches and imposes on the people who are members in it.
Faced
with all this moral and material destruction
* that EU membership has brought us,
* we find with great shame that there are still ecclesiastical circles
* responsible for the means of communication,
* such as the parochial magazines
* Flimkien and Leħen is-Sewwa
* who accept to continue to make regular deceitful propaganda
* in favour of the European Union.
These are,
* on the contrary,
* keeping the viper in our sleeve,
* instead of doing as Saint Paul did,
* throw it away.
When they hoodwinked the Gozitans
By Eddy Privitera
The
NEWS that Gozo cannot be considered as a “region” because it is “an island in an
island State” certainly came back to the minds of those Gozitans who had
believed Fenech Adami and the PN prior to the referendum, with the solemn
promise that, if Malta becomes an EU member, Gozo shall have preferential
treatment because it shall be considered as a region and thus will benefit from
special European funds.
Who knows how many Gozitans had swallowed the bait and went to vote “Yes”?
Who knows what is passing through the minds of those same Gozitans?
In
Gozo there are also hundreds of hunters and trappers, who were also promised
that not only were the hunting and trapping regulation not going to be changed,
but if there were going to be any changes, they will be for the better for them.
The Gozitan hunters and trappers, like their Maltese friends, today know that they were deceived.
That
is why we believe that all those who voted “Yes” for EU membership, because they
believed that Gozo in the EU will become a separate “region” and start to
receive special funds, have now become aware that the Nationalist Government and
the MIC, led by Simon Busuttil, took them for a ride at the time.
Perhaps some might say: “Now there is nothing that can be done, whatever is there is there”.
But it is only those who want to do nothing says so.
In this same page on 10 December last we gave an explanation of what Article 49A of the Lisbon Treaty states, now that it has entered into force.
This article makes it clear that every EU member state has the right to leave the union.
It
was explained how when a member state gives notice that it no longer wants to be
bound by the accession treaty with it, there is a period of two years within
which a new cooperation agreement between the country that is retiring and the
EU itself and that enters into effect as soon as agreement is reached.
This that country appears as if it is reborn as an Independent and Sovereign State as it was before the politicians persuaded it to throw away the freedom of its people and again become a foreigners colony, as happened to Malta on 1 May 2004.
To those whom you hear saying that God forbid were we not EU members because the financial crisis that hit the world these last months, we would have found ourselves far worse tell them:
“Then how come that certain countries that are not in the EU were not hard hit as certain other countries who are members and even in the Euro Zone? Why are Spain and Greece, to name only two, were hit far worse, one can say, from all the other European countries, both those in the EU as well as those who are not and who do not have the euro as their currency?”
The EU is a dream that famous politicians drafted with great sly and also lies hidden behind a lot of propaganda of nice words, make the people run after it, but with passing time is turning into a nightmare.
It’s not for nothing that now, with the Lisbon Treaty, the right of a people to pursue its own destiny has been given the death blow, as long as they continue to accept the dreams of a European Empire.
