CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers
and against Malta's membership of the European Union
TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
The European Union ordered that as from 2010 the Maltese and Gozitan people pay it €182,192 daily stolen from your childrens mouths
We betrayed the independence that had been acquired by our country
Why don’t we allow the illegal immigrants to go to Europe?
By Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici
The
wound of racism in our country is increasing
* because of the invasion of thousands of illegal immigrants
* and the EU is to blame for this immigration crisis that has been happening to us.
First
it forced us to remove the barriers that our country had against illegal
immigrants
* by forcing the Maltese Government to repeal all the reservations that our country had made to the Refugee Convention,
* and then after we opened wide our country’s doors to the immigrants,
* it forced us to close the doors behind them not to allow them to leave our country to Europe.
That is the EU wants us to allow them to enter into our country and keep them here.
In this manner it wants Malta to serve as a trap in which the illegal immigrants are caught on their way to the Union, either we collect them from the sea or they land mistakenly in our country.
We make a mistake if we think that the European Parliament or the European Commission is going to solve the illegal immigrants’ crisis for us.
It can
only be solved by the Maltese Parliament by deciding that no more illegal
immigrants shall be allowed to come and remain in Malta and not hold the illegal
immigrants to leave our country to try to enter into the other EU countries.
The Maltese Parliament should understand that the illegal immigrants want us to allow them to go to Europe and not end up by not being able to go to the other countries because we consider them as refugees or consider that they should be given humanitarian protection.
Hidden interests
In
the illegal immigrants issue there are many hidden interests.
A number of employers in our countries are employing illegal immigrants with low wages and not according to the working conditions stipulated in the law.
The authorities know that this is happening and although by word of mouth they condemn it they are doing nothing to stop it.
The employers profit more because they pay less and at the same time this helps to stop increase in Maltese workers wages.
It is known that there are those who are profiting from the presence of thousands of illegal immigrants.
They
do good business from them.
They are given contracts of thousands of euros for the provisions for illegal immigrants, frequently without any calls for tender.
Big business is being made with the illegal immigrants in the open centres, with those in detention centres and with many who are living here and there in self-rented houses.
Whoever is profiting from the illegal immigrants does not care about the damage that the illegal immigration is causing to our country.
Neither the authorities of the country appear to care about this.
The masses are against
But
there is no doubt that the mass of the people does not agree with what is being
allowed to occur in Malta.
The mass of the people want illegal immigration to be curbed.
This does not mean that the mass of the people want to burn the illegal immigrant.
It certainly opposes that they are maltreated.
It agrees that they be given food and other necessities, and health care, and to be kept in a decent environment not as they are in presently.
But the mass of the people also believes that the illegal immigrants have no place in our country.
Our
country is too small.
The population is too big.
There is not enough work for al the Maltese and Gozitans.
Therefore
it is not in the interests of the people to allow illegal immigrants to come and
reside and work here.
The illegal immigrants neither want to stay in Malta.
Both those whom we save from the sea as well as those who land themselves all will be on their way to Europe.
They do not want to remain here and when we keep them here we are not doing them a favour.
Indeed we are causing them harm.
Good to the immigrants
If we really want to do good to the illegal immigrants we should not put obstacles to prevent them from reaching their aim of going to Europe.
On
the illegal immigrants issue the EU deceived us and is still playing the fool
with us.
It wants to continue doing so by wanting us to give the right to vote to the illegal immigrants with the excuse that thus, after a few years, they can go wherever they want in the EU.
When the immigrants will be given the right to vote they will have taken another step to integrate themselves with the Maltese.
That
is what the EU wants with the excuse of the freedom of movement.
We
should tell the EU that if it is ready to accept immigrants from Malta that have
been given the right to vote, why is it not ready to accept them even when they
do not have the right to vote?
What difference does the right to vote make?
After all more than half of the EU citizens that have the right to vote do not care about it because they do not vote in the European Parliament Elections!
In the interests of our people and for the good of the illegal immigrants we should as soon as possible cut ourselves from the EU policy and regulations on illegal immigration.
As soon as possible sign the popular petition to the Maltese Parliament to pass measures to curb illegal immigration in our country.
Corruption and wastage
By Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici, Campaign for National Independence CNI
The EUROPEAN UNION
* is morally sick
* with the leprosy of corruption,
* theft,
* fraud
and the wastage of massive millions of euros every year.
Because of this, the auditors do not sign its accounts, with great shame for it.
The EU funds come from the taxes
* that the people of the member countries pay it
* and therefore after all
* are the European citizens that are being skinned,
not the Union and its leaders.
The cases of corruption in the EU and the wastage of funds are extremely numerous and make you cross-eyed. One case is of four commercial enterprises in Cosenza, Italy, who together sucked €80 million from the EU to set up an enterprise to build solar panels and ended up not doing anything after they took this aid.
Another case occurred in the city of Charleroi, in Belgium,
* that was given li €12-il million
* which instead of being spent for the purpose that they were given
* were spent on the payment of dinners,
* receptions,
* trips
* and voyages
* for officials
and prominent people of the city.
The third case also occurred in the South of Italy.
The EU paid about €50 million to a number of farmers for citrus trees, according to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
But after some time it was found that neither the farmers nor the trees had ever existed.
In the fourth case there are two Bulgarian businessmen
* who took €9.6 million from the Agricultural and Rural Development Fund
* with the scope of buying a new processing plant for the processing and packing of meat.
Instead they bought an old plant by falsifying the documents.
Corruption in the Institutions
The cases of corruption did no occur only in the EU member countries, but even in its highest institutions.
In one of the reports the internal auditors of the European Parliament it was stated that funds that amounted to €98.4 million had been paid in allowances to the members of Parliament instead of being spent for the scope that they were given.
The report remained hidden from the public.
According to a note by Dana Willis,
* which was one of the Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament,
* about 60 members of parliament
* signed that they had attended Parliamentary sessions that were held on a Friday
* when the European Parliament does not hold any sessions on Fridays.
Through this fraud in one year €820,000 were paid to a member.
On the EU Committee of the regions,
* Paul van Buitenen,
* who was an auditor in the Finance Directorate,
* tells the EU Office against Fraud
* that according to investigations that he himself had made
* there was widespread corruption that had been going on for many years.
Scandalous wastage of funds
Apart from many other cases of fraud in the EU
* that have become known many other cases of wastage
* and wanton spending of European funds have been published.
The EU gave €1,280,000
* for a training programme for females in
* singing,
* dancing
* and acting
* in television spectacles in Naples, “Quiziotto”;
gave €105,996 to Estonia
* to develop a puppet theatre for refugees
* and disadvantaged persons.
The EU also gave funds for the building of a shipping lift in the port of Strepy-Thieu in Belgium.
* The lift cost €647 million to be built instead of €170 million as planned.
* It took 20 years to build and after four years working it developed faults and did not continue to operate.
The EU gave €800 million in funds to Italy to modernize its trains in the South of the country.
* After the funds had been used
* it was found that 50% of the trains are being operated on electricity,
* when before the funds were given
* slightly less than 50% were already operating on electricity
* and that 75% of the trains are still operating on a single line
* instead of two.
The greater parts of the funds have disappeared.
Some airlines and cruise liners companies are receiving subsidies from The EU Common Agricultural Policy for the food that serve their passengers.
The German airline company Lufthansa received €2.5 million as part of these subsidies.
Funds that amount to great millions of euros
* were given to Poland
* for a project to build a road
* that had to link the city of Wroclaw in the South
* with Bialystok in the North.
* But when the project was finished
* the road that was built from Worclaw
* ended five miles away
* from the road
* that was started from Bialystok.
The British sugar factory in York, England, was given a compensation of €93 million in payment for the reduction of the sugar quota produced in the United Kingdom.
The factory had been closed in the beginning of 2007, but had reopened and worked for only two weeks at the end of December of that year to qualify for compensation.
The Union spends about €140 million every year for the EU Committee of the Regions.
Many meetings of the representatives of the regions are held and many studies are prepared, but they are useless.
The EU made a scheme known as the Single Farm Payment Scheme.
It was found that many who are not farmers are benefitting from it.
Being paid from it are
* horse riding clubs,
* golf clubs
* and local councils,
* apart from big multi-national companies such as
* Nestle,
* Coca Cola
* and Heineken.
The Tate and Lyle Company received £37,956,391 from the scheme
But the greatest scandalous wastage of resources of the EU funds is that which has got to do with the grants and pensions for the European Commissioners.
It is estimated that the golden handshakes given to the Commissioners when their appointment is terminated amount to €11-il million.
Baroness Ashton,
* The British Commissioner,
* is going to be given €250,000 for “transition payments”
* while the Swedish Commissioner Margot Walstrom
* is going to be given a “golden handshake” of €433,000.
Ashton,
* that is going to have been in office for only one year,
* is going to be given a pension of £8,000 every year
* and Walstrom is going to take a pension of €110,000 every year.
These are only a few of the many facts that shock the European Union citizens.
It’s not for nothing that many curse their membership in this sort of union.
