WELCOME TO THE CNI WEBPAGE
CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers
and against Malta's membership of the European Union
TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
In the seven years 2007 – 2014 the Maltese and Gozitans are going to pay the European Union €420,000,000
The EU wants to destroy hunting and trapping in our country
The call “we
shall leave the European Union” was heard last week from thousands of hunters
and trappers who gathered at Rabat to protest against the Union regulations that
are going to destroy hunting and trapping in our country.
The hunters and trappers were right to say so because to save hunting and
trapping in our country they have to get rid of the yoke of the Union’s
regulations and directives.
The Maltese politicians are doing a very bad thing to bow their heads to all
that the European Union wants without taking any notice of what the thousands of
Maltese and Gozitans want to continue to enjoy the hunting and trapping hobby.
The European Union even on the issue of hunting and trapping worked with great
hypocracy.
In the big Union countries hunting and trapping are permitted on condition that they are sustainable, that means that the shooting of birds and the trapping of birds are to be allowed unless they destroy so many birds that they will no longer exist.
Because if the
birds are all destroyed, hunting and trapping for them will also be destroyed.
In Malta and Għawdex,
since only a small fraction of birds migrate, whatever level of hunting and
whatever level of trapping is carried out, there is not the slightest threat
that birds will no longer exist.
That is, here we don’t have a question of hunting and trapping sustainabilty
that are going to destroy the existence of birds.
The European Union does not prohibit the killing and the trapping of birds, as
it also does not prohibit the killing and trapping of other animals.
Therefore,
since the Union admits to the killing and trapping of animals, it has no reason
whatsoever to oppose hunting and trapping in our country as long as they are
sustainable.
The spineless Maltese politicians are showing unlimited servilism when instead
of reasoning with the European Union about how they regulate the hunting and
trapping hobby in our country, accept as stupid weaklings that which they are
told by those of the European Union and make regulations with which they are
going to destroy hunting and trapping in our country.
The Maltese politicians should keep in mind that first they have to observe the
wishes of the Maltese and Gozitan electorate before observing what the Union
wants, if they want the Maltese and Gozitan electorate to continue to give them
their trust and votes.
Now the hunters and trappers are tasteing the bitterness of the European Union,
as have already suffered hundreds of workers and employees who have lost their
job, or have had their working conditions reduced.
Like them they should work so that we will leave the Union as soon as possible (in Maltese today before tomorrow)
The
European Union is against social justice
The European
Union imposes on the member countries in the Union an economic policy which is
against social justice and which increases the inequalities between the sectors
of society by making richer the few and impoverishes the masses.
It is shameful for politicians who should observe social justice before any
other scope, are overcome by Union funds given to their country to make them put
away the principles of social justice for the principle of the capitalist market
economy, which is the policy that the Union implements without caring about the
hardships that it causes to the vast majority of the people.
It is a great
misfortune that the progressive forces in the Union member countries end up by
abandoning their aims and social policy and administer with the same economic
policy imposed on them by the Union, that same as is being done by similar
progressive forces in the Union countries.
We are seeing that Malta, that has become a Union member, is not going to escape
this unfortunate fate, once the craving for Union funds is greater than the soul
and the belief in social justice.
The Union economic policy that Malta has to implement for as long as it remains
bound with the Union, is making it very difficult for families to find a home
where to live, for the workers and employees to keep their work, for the workers
and employees not to suffer reductions in their working conditions, to keep
untouched the welfare state and free social services, including teaching
facilities, health services and pensions, and to control increases in the cost
of living.
The European Union wants the Union Constitution to bind all the member countries
to administer according to its economic policy even if the majority of the
people in some member country want to adopt a just social economic policy.
This was the
main reason that the majority of the French and the majority of the Dutch people
voted against the European Constitution.
Great efforts are being made in the Union so that that Constitution will be
revived.
But nothing is being made for the economic policy written in the Constitution to be changed to protect the principles of social justice.
That is why the fundamental objections for the European Constitution are still there and the progressive forces in France and The Netherlands and of other Union countries, including Malta, should still oppose the Constitution that with shame was approved by the Maltese Parliament on 6 July last year, even after the French and Dutch people had voted against it.
EU
laws separated a boy from his father and siblings
On Saturday, 16 December, on the 7.30 p.m. news were shown scenes that certainly made many tele-viewers cry for what they were viewing on the news.
We were not an
exception, because you will have to be heartless not to feel deep down your
heart for that 12-year old boy, and for his father, when the police went to take
the boy, forcefully, if need be, to the airport from there to be sent to England
to his mother, when the boy absolutely did not want to leave his father and
other siblings who live in Għawdex.
The scenes were unbelievable if you did not see them with your own eyes.
But we believe
that those scenes did not only break the hearts of all those who saw them on TV,
but also filled them with rage when they heard that the only reason that brought
this separation between the father and child were the European Union laws.
We are not going to repeat the story because we are certain that whoever is
reading this page has already seen, heard and read what led to what had
happened.
What we want to emphasize is the fact that if we were still free and independent
outside the European Union, what had happened will not have happened because the
Maltese Court would not have been subject to the European Union law.
It is a great shame for those who did everything to deceive the Maltese people
so that they were able to make Malta a European Union member with the obscene
lie that Malta will still remain free, independent and sovereign.
They even told
us that Malta’s sovereignty will “be strengthened”.
Would today, Dr Simon Busuttil, David Casa – now that both of them have taken
their prize and are very well-off in the European Parliament – have the
courage to go and offer their support to that child’s father – Shaun David
– and to his siblings for all that has happened to them because of the
European Union laws?
Would the Prime Minister after having heard about this pitiful case, have the
impudence to face that family that is suffering the consequences of European
Union membership and tell them that he is sorry for what had happened to them?
To those who deceived the people in believing that the European Union has a
“social soul” we say:
Is it now that you have become aware that the European Union neither has a “social soul” and more so it does not have a heart?
The values that
they used to mention that we the Maltese people share with those of the Union,
the more that time passes the more it is being shown that they are very
different from the values that the European Union embraces.
To the father, Mr Mario Attard, to Shaun Attard’s siblings and all his relatives, we wish to give the Campaign for National Independence solidarity and that of the absolute majority of the Maltese and Gozitan people in these moments of great sorrow.
But we believe that the child, Shaun, will come back to his father and siblings never to be separated again.
