WELCOME TO THE CNI WEBPAGE
CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers
and against Malta's membership of the European Union
TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
In the seven years 2007 – 2014 the Maltese and Gozitans are going to pay the European Union €420,000,000
The people are denied full information on the EU membership treaty
By the Campaign for National Independence CNI
It is not true that we cannot leave the European Union
See this European Parliament video that we can leave
The
Maltese voter is expected to read at least 133 pages every day for a whole month
prior to voting in the referendum.
The treaty between Malta and the European Union has more than 4,000 pages.
Not more than one month is left before the referendum.
Therefore to be able to read the treaty before the referendum, you have to read not less than 133 pages every day for a whole month.
This is the shameful story that the Maltese Government barefacedly is trying to make the Maltese people swallow by leaving them in the dark so as not to become aware with the betrayal that it is doing them.
It is a story of a denial of democracy and deprives the voter from full information that he needs to form his judgment before voting.
A vote given blindly is a robbed vote.
The European Union is heavily financing the referendum propaganda, and is an accomplice in this crime that is being committed on democracy in our country.
First referendum
Malta
is the first country from the ten countries that have negotiated with the
European Union that is going to hold the referendum on the results of the
negotiations.
The hurried rush of the Maltese Government to try to grab the consent of the people for the agreement, has no other meaning other than that the Government does not want to give the Maltese people enough time to examine carefully the agreement, because the more they do so carefully, the less will they approve the agreement.
The European Union is, with its full support for the manoeuvres of the Maltese Government, an accomplice with it in the despised deceit of the Maltese people.
This shameful fact of the need to read more than 4,000 pages of the treaty between Malta and the European Union in 30 days, probably also embarass our country’s bishops.
Because some time ago they spoke on the need that the people try to acquire full information to be able to vote.
Now this scandalous Government rush is not going to allow the people to have full information about the treaty with which the government wants to bind the people with the EU, the condition mentioned by the bishops for the people to be in a position to do their duty is not going to verify itself.
Therefore the bishop’s word was brought to nothing by the Government action.
There
is no doubt that Malta’s membership in the European Union according to the
agreement that the Maltese Government has made, means a total change in the life
of the Maltese people.
Therefore for this change to happen, it requires the consent of the majority of all the people.
It is not enough for this change to happen if those who vote “Yes” do not at least amount to more than half all those who have a right to vote.
Whoever does not vote “Yes” cannot be considered to be in favour of the agreement for change that the Maltese Government has negotiated.
Therefore if there is not more than half the Maltese people who say yes for the change, the majority of the people will not be in its favour and would not want it.
The European Union knows that if less than half of all the voters say “Yes” for
the agreement that the Maltese Government has made, the party in Government is
not going to win the general election that must be held a short time later.
This means that another government does not accept the agreement that the present government has made.
Once the general election is going to be held after the referendum, the result of the last, that is the general election, is going to bind, and not the result of the referendum that the government itself says is only consultative and is not legally binding.
Political
observers of a certain experience criticize Fenech Adami who is going to lead
our country into the expense of two ballots is a short time, of a referendum and
a general election, when the first one does not bind and the second one binds.
They also criticize him because he is hurrying to hold a referendum without the people being given full information about the treaty that the government wants to sign on 16 April and without the people knowing how the European Union is going to be after it drafts its new constitution next year.
But the political observer criticize Fenech Adami more on the lack of
seriousness that he is showing for the big issue of the breach of the
Constitution of Malta and of the policy of neutrality.
They insist that in today’s dire situation with the war on Iraq and the threat of retaliatory attacks on every country that supports this war, a prudent government should stop and wait that the issue calms down and not lead the country in issues with those who are going to be against all those who fight in Iraq and against the Muslim countries.
The political observers insist that at this time, if Malta had a wise government
and who really does its duty according to the Constitution and actively work for
peace among nations, Malta would not have remained silent and staring and see
the world moving towards a destructive war, without Malta taking an active
participation to try to stop this from happening.
This would have been the greatest service that the Government would have made for Malta and for the European Union which is in a crisis because of the Iraq war.
The Maltese Government unfortunately appears to lean towards these Union countries that are in favour of war, when it should have been against, and according to the Constitution, should be neutral.
The European Union is an accomplice in the breach of the Constitution of Malta
The
Maltese Government and the European Union admit that the referendum is not
legally binding because it is consultative.
With less than half the people saying “Yes” for the agreement made by the Maltese Government with the European Union, there will be no majority that showed its advice in favour of those agreement conditions.
The majority would have showed that it is not ready to give advice in favour of those conditions.
In simple words, there will be no majority in favour of the change that the Government agreed to make in the life of the Maltese people and of our country, because whoever does not say “Yes”, is not in favour of the agreement and the change.
Both the Maltese Government and the European Union know that it is going to be greatly damaging and to cause great damage to the relations of the European Union with the Maltese people, if the consent of the Maltese people for the agreement is stolen due to the hurried rush of the referendum and the great amounts of money spent in propaganda.
A consent acquired in this manner will not be built on conviction and after careful examination of full information of facts.
The referendum is facing a bigger problem. The membership agreement of Malta in the Union overcomes the neutrality and breaches our Constitution.
The declaration on neutrality that the Government is going to attach with the membership agreement, does not overcome the duty that Malta abides according to the foreign policy that the European Union makes.
The change in the policy of neutrality cannot be legal and according to the Constitution if the Constitution of Malta is not changed.
The
Constitution cannot be changed by a referendum but only with not less than
two-thirds of all the members of Parliament.
Therefore the agreement about which a referendum is going to be held is illegal
and against the constitution and its result cannot have any legal weight.
The European Union knows about this problem but does not consider it as its problem and is that of the Maltese Government.
The European Union will be doing very wrong not to recognize that once the membership agreement of Malta in the Union is considered as breaching the agreement it is accepted and happens.
It will also be for the European Union to be considered as an accomplice in the crime of the breach of the Constitution of our country, more so after it has been warned about the dire consequences of this.
They want EU membership because they are afraid of freedom
They took the decision to make us members in the European Union in 1979 because they were afraid from the full freedom of the Maltese people.
Two
months before 31 March 1979, when the last British soldiers had to leave our
country and thus our people acquire freedom, Fenech Adami and his clique
hurriedly passed a resolution for Malta not to remain independent by joining the
European Economic Community (As the European Union used to be called at that
time).
Therefore with the agreement of membership in the European Union, Fenech Adami and his clique today are implementing what they had decided 24 years ago 9in 1979) to throw away independence and the freedom of the Maltese people.
In 1979 Fenech Adami and his clique feared that an independent and free Malta
would be swallowed by the Russians or the Libyans.
Today, Fenech Adami and his clique are making the people fear that if we remain independent and free, we will be isolated, without any voice and go backwards.
But the history of the last 40 years shows us that our people have never moved forward when they had their affairs in their hands, had mover forward in every sector and Malta’s voice in the world started being heard since Malta got rid of the foreigners and embraced a policy of neutrality and non-alignment.

But
Fenech Adami and his clique to acquire power, were ready to sell their soul to
the foreigners such as the German Von Hassel and the Italian Flaminio Piccoli.
The foreigners not only gave them every help, but also overcame Fenech Adami and his clique.
Today they have arrived at selling the independence and freedom of our country with the agreement that they made with the European Union, as payback for the help they received to acquire and hold for a length of time, power in their hands.
They want that the integration of Malta in the European Union happens next year
in 2004.
Next
year happens to be the 40 th anniversary of the independence acquired in the
year 1964.
The Independence of Malta and the monument of Borg Olivier.
And they want to do this exactly on the 40 th anniversary of the independence of Borg Olivier.
Thus they would have succeeded in destroying him during his life and destroyed his monument after his death.
They want to deny Maltese nationalism and make from our independent and free country, an integrated city and ruled by the Union.
