CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers
and against Malta's membership of the European Union
TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
The European Union ordered that in 2011 the Maltese and Gozitan people pay it €68,000,000
€186,000 daily stolen from your childrens mouths
Trampling of the national interests
It is not true that we cannot leave the European Union
See this European Parliament video that we can leave
The
national interests of the Maltese people are nothing to the European
Union.
This
sorrowful fact was uncovered by the writings of a certain Mr Louis Cilia, which
appeared in a local newspaper two weeks ago.
Mr
Cilia was a high Government officer who took part in the 1998 discussions that
the Maltese Government was making with the EU about the Justice sector in our
country prior to the Membership Agreement of Malta with the EU.
Mr Cilia insisted that the European union does not yield that which it wants to
be done, even if this would not be in harmony with our national interests.
* Proof of this was the issue of how our country should act in the refugees issue.
* The
Maltese Government had in 1971 adhered to the Refugee Convention, but made very
important reservations to it, because of our country’s social problems, our
position in the middle of the Mediterranean routes and the particular
circumstances of our country.
*
During the discussions in 1998 about the Membership Agreement in the Union, the
Maltese Government insisted that the 1971 reservations to the Refugee Convention
should continue to apply, because our big population for the small size of our
country, we could not in our national interests, accept an unlimited number of
refugees.
*
But the European Union officials did not want to hear about the reasons that the
Maltese Government officials were bringing forward for the reservations to the
Refugee Convention to continue in force.
*
The same sort of reserves for the Convention were also made by some big
countries members in the European Union and the Maltese officers insisted that
as those Union countries has these reservations, when Malta becomes a member in
the union, could have the same reservations in our national interests.
*
But the European Union officials did not accept the comparison with countries
who were already members in the Union.
* They told the Maltese Government that every new country that wanted to become a member in the Union had to either accept the Refugee Convention in toto without any reservations or the Union will not accept it to become a member.
* The Union officers insisted that not everything that applies to old members in the union shall necessarily apply to new members.
* With great shame, the Maltese Government, because it wanted at all costs to make our country a member in the Union, betrayed the national interests and repealed the reservations that had been made in 1971 to the Refugee Convention.
* Today we are suffering the consequences of this anti national act by having to accept hundreds of refugees and this because of our membership in the European union.
The
illegal immigrants in our country are the EU’s fault
*
THREE
hundred Maltese soldiers are going to be wasted all the time on patrols for
illegal immigrants, on the mission of the EU Frontiers Agency (Frontex), in the
middle of the Mediterranean.
* They
are going to take part in the patrols together with members of the naval forces
of Italy, France and Germany.
*
Apart from the 300 soldiers on patrol with Frontex, the Armed Forces of Malta
have a number of soldiers and the Police Force has a number of its members, who
are guarding and taking care of the hundreds of illegal immigrants that are
being kept in the detention centres in our country.
*
During the last fie years it is estimated that more than 8,000 illegal
immigrants came to our country.
* Hundreds of
them have been given refugee status and have the right to live and work in our
country and are entitled to all the benefits that foreigners who are regularly
in our country have.
*
After being held for 18 months in the detention centres, the immigrants are
placed in the open centres and are free to go wherever they want in our
country.
* Many of them
work without the necessary permit and are employed with bad working conditions.
*
The European Union is discussing to shorten the length of time that we can keep
the illegal immigrants in detention.
* But the
European Union is not ready to accept tat the illegal immigrants that live in
the open centres and can go anywhere in our country, have the right to go
wherever they want in the EU, as the Maltese people can go to any other Union
country.
*
With its policy on illegal immigrants who cannot go to other Union countries,
the Union is forcing our country to keep thousands of illegal immigrants who go
out from the detention centres once they do the established time in the centres.
*
The EU knows that the illegal immigrants that are in Malta do not want to stay
here, but want to go to the big Union countries.
* It also knows that Malta cannot keep all these illegal immigrants.
* But just the same the Union does not want to allow us to allow the to go where they want, that is, where they wanted to go when they left their country.
*
Therefore it is the Union’s fault for the problems that we have with the
illegal immigrants.
* Because they are in our country only on their way to other Union countries.
* They are held in our country because the Union is keeping us from allowing them to go from our country to wherever they want in the Union.
* If we become free from the EU shackles, we could solve our illegal immigrants problem.
* We could also make an agreement with Libya to send back those who come here from there.
* The Union is not going to protect our people’s interests in this issue.
Malta
and the EU’s common defence

A
few days ago the French Prime Minister Francois Fillon came to Malta and spoke
with Prime Minister Gonzi about what France intends to do in July when it shall
have the Presidency of the Council of ministers of the European Union.
It is a known fact that the French President Nicolas Sarkozy is insisting that
the EU prepares a common defence policy for all the Union countries and to
strengthen their military forces.
Although nothing was publicly stated, the French Prime Minister could not desist
from encouraging the Maltese Prime Minister for Malta to take part in the common
defence and the building of the European Union army, notwithstanding our
country’s neutrality.
Yes!
- 1,167,683 abortions every year
No! – Killing of quails and turtle doves
By
Eddie Privitera
The
news that we read in this newspaper these last days continued to expose the
gross hypocrisy that exists in the European Union on hunting and trapping, but
especially spring hunting.
While
the Maltese and Gozitan hunters have been hunting in our country for hundreds of
years, for the first time in all these years, the European Union axe has arrived
and stopped Spring hunting, although there is not supposed to be a final
decision on Spring hunting by the
Court of Justice, or rather “Of Injustice”
of the Union.
The news that I am referring to is that according to official statistics, in the
EU countries, every year,
1,167,683
babies are killed by means of abortion.
And
this killing is being made with the blessing of the European Union.
And
there are no seasons during which such babies killing cannot be made, because
abortion can be made during the whole year.
Let me explain better the gross hypocrisy of the European Union about Spring
hunting in Malta.
The principal argument is that if Spring hunting is allowed – when the quails and turtle doves are going to lay their eggs in Europe – the number of quails and turtle doves will be reduced.
And
it appears that they want us to believe that these species are in danger of
extinction.
At the same time that they say so, the Union statistics themselves show that the birth rate in Europe has gone down considerably and today there are 6,000,000 more old people (over 65 years) than there are children under 14 years of age.
When in 1980 there were 36 million children more than old people!
But it appears that this reduction of birthrate is not troubling the EU as much as if the number of quails and turtle-doves were reduced.
It is therefore natural to ask:
Once
there is all this lack of child births, why does the EU at the same time allow
the killing of babies that still have to be born, when there is so much need of
more child births so that the Union countries can continue to expand their
economies?
If the killing of quails and turtle-doves is not sustainable in Spring, then the killing of 1,167,683 babies not yet born every year is sustainable, Lord Gods of the EU and of the Union Court of Injustice?
And when they themselves say that this lack of babies is already a problem for the Union?
How
can we ever – and everyone who wants to be sincere with himself – start to
believe in this type of European Union, that considers that quails and
turtle-doves are more important than the killing of millions of babies every
year that are killed by abortion!
