WELCOME TO THE CNI WEBPAGE
CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers
and against Malta's membership of the European Union
TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
The European Union ordered that from 1 January 2009 the Maltese pay the European Union €153,400 daily
It is a mistake to attack Italy!
Italy
concluded an agreement with Libya to send back illegal immigrants that go to
Italy from Libya.
The Maltese people are asking why does the Maltese Government not make an agreement with Libya as has been done by Italy?
Since there is no justification for this shortcoming by the Maltese Government, the Maltese people are right to complain that the Maltese people’s interests are not being protected as fitting.
This lack of protection of the national interests merit the strongest condemnation,
* but the fact that there are some well-placed in our country
* who are making great profits from the illegal immigrants
* with the business they do through them,
* from the contracts that they are being given both for buildings,
* as well as for provisions,
* and by employing hundreds of illegal immigrants
* with low wages
* and bad working conditions merits a greater condemnation.

It
appears that for the Government the enjoyment of profits by those well-placed is
more important than the sadness that is felt by the people who feel threatened
with the thousands of illegal immigrants amongst us.
Some, both in our country as well as in the European Union criticized Italy for sending back to Libya hundreds of illegal immigrants when they arrived in Italy these last few days, without examining case by case to see whether they should be considered as refugees or whether they should be granted humanitarian protection.
This
sort of criticism by the EU uncovers that the Union Frontex patrols are not
serving to stop the illegal immigrants, because if they had to do so, just the
same the immigrants were not being investigated whether they should be
considered as refugees or entitled to humanitarian protection.
That
is why the EU wants the Frontex launches to take the illegal immigrants to the
nearest Union land, and this is frequently our Island.
Those who are objecting that the illegal immigrants that come from Libya be sent back are accusing Italy that it is breaching the Refugee Convention and the EU Directive known as Dublin II, because a country bound by the Convention and with the Directive cannot send illegal immigrants back to their own countries if there is fighting in their countries, or if the life of the immigrants will be threatened, or they will be treated in a inhuman and degrading manner.
But all those who are objecting to Italy are mistaken, because Italy is not sending the illegal immigrants back to their own country, but is sending them back to where they left by sea and therefore not where there is any fighting, or where their life is threatened or they are treated in an inhuman and degrading manner.
So much so that the Somalis were not sent back to Somalia,
* but were sent to Libya.
The Nigerian immigrants
* were not sent back to Nigeria,
* but to Libya.
The immigrants from Ghana
* were not sent back to their own country,
* but were sent to Libya from where they left by sea for Europe.
Whoever reasons like this
* agrees that to discourage the immigrants to sail to another country,
* you have to show them that they shall vainly risk their lives
* because they shall certainly be sent back.
On the other hand,
* if the immigrants would know that they will not be sent back,
* more of them will be enticed to sail towards Europe.
Therefore those who are criticizing Italy
* whether they want to or not,
* are helping to increase the illegal immigrants’ invasion.
Who is guilty for the immigrants’ invasion
During the many meetings that were held to commemorate the five years that our country has been a member in the European union,
* Instead of examining their conscience to see what our people received and what they had lost with membership in the union,
* they made an orgy of false incense burning
* to try to make the people forget the great damage that they suffered
* as a consequence of membership in the Union.
Amongst
others, Eddie Fenech Adami
* who is not happy how much he had deceived the people about the values which he used to say were going to be strengthened with membership in the Union has reappeared.
Now he wants to continue to deceive when he said that if we hadn’t become members in the Union,
* we would have had an illegal immigrants’ invasion just the same,
* and we would have been worse off
* because we would not have had the EU’s help.
These words uttered by Fenech Adami are most deceitful,
* because if we had not become members in the European Union,
* our country would not have opened wide its doors for the illegal immigrants.
Fenech Adami is guilty for this,
* because it was the Government led by him that yielded to the EU threats
* that warned him that if he doesn’t repeal the reservations that Malta had to the Refugee Convention,
* the EU would not let Malta become a member.

We
have an illegal immigrants’ invasion
* because first of all we repealed those reservations that the Maltese Government had made in 1971
* because that was what the European Union forced the Eddie Fenech Adami to do.
In
the second instance,
* the other reason why we have thousands of illegal immigrants in our country
*
is because to become members in the Union,
* we accepted to implement the EU agreement that is known as Dublin II,
* which forces us to keep the illegal immigrants in our country
* and that they should be considered as refugees
* and those who should be given humanitarian protection.
Fenech
Adami and Gonzi know
* but want to hide
* that had Malta not become a member in the European Union,
* it would not have had to repeal our reservations to the 1951 Refugee Convention
* and neither would it have had to be bound by the 1993 Directive known as Dublin II of the European Union.
Therefore it is our membership in the Union that is the reason for the thousands of illegal immigrants that we have in our country.

*
Also guilty are Fenech Adami, Gonzi, and all the rest (Simon Busuttil, Joe
Borg, Richard Cachia Caruana, Joanna Drake, etc),
* who carried out great propaganda so that the Maltese people vote in favour of membership
* and his from the people what would be the disastrous consequences of the membership agreement
* that they negotiated with the Union,
* among them, the invasion by thousands of illegal immigrants.
An “explosive” social situation
Jean-Claude
Juncker is the Prime Minister of Luxembourg and presides over the meetings of
the Ministers for Finance of the countries in the Euro Zone.
At the 4 May meeting he said
* that the euro countries are at the heart of the economic and financial crisis
* and are moving towards a social crisis that may have “potentially explosive” consequences.
With social explosion Jean-Claude Juncker meant great social upheaval that may spread to fighting that arises because of the millions of unemployed workers in the euro countries.
During
the same meeting of the Ministers for Finance
* Juncker announced that in the 16 euro countries,
* total unemployment will rise to 9.9%
* when in all the 27 countries total employment will go up to 9.4%.
That is, the countries that have the euro will fare worse than those who had not adopted the euro.
In our country we frequently hear
* politicians,
* economists
* and opinion writers
* who try to make the people believe
* that we fared better with the euro than if we hadn’t adopted it.
Up to last March unemployment in the EU exceeded 20 million persons.
Unemployment is also increasing in our country and what we had warned prior to the membership referendum that will happen if we become members in the Union is happening.
According
to a press release by the ETC
* we have in our country more than 4,500 foreign workers who came from the EU countries.
This means that apart from the illegal immigrants’ invasion,
* we also have an invasion of EU workers
* who are all taking the work of Maltese workers
* and who are therefore increasing the number of unemployed Maltese workers.
We are worried that the social situation in our country is potentially explosive
* when thousands of Maltese workers are unemployed,
* while their work is being taken by thousands of foreigners from the EU
* and illegal immigrants who work both with
* and without a permit.
For our people to be free again
Those
who went to see the musical “Ġensna” could not feel great when they remembered
how the Maltese people had to go through much trouble and sufferings under
foreign rulers, so that at last they acquired full freedom in 1979, on the
strength of the courageous and wise leadership of Mintoff.
However,
you cannot help not feeling sorry when you become aware that we have again came
under foreign rule,
* this time of the EU,
* and we have again lost our freedom.
But worse than this,
* we are hiding from our people
* that we have again become a colonized people,
* because it is not us that are deciding our affairs,
* but we have to do as we are told by those of the EU.
If we think a little about the European Parliament we should become aware that
our destiny is no longer in our hands.
In the European Parliament there are going to be 750 members, from which only 5 will be from Malta.
If the European Parliament decides things that affect us
* it will not be our representatives that decide the things that will affect us,
* but the majority of the 750 Parliament members.
Our five will be there just as a number,
* not as happens in our Parliament
* where the majority of the peoples’ representatives decide what happens in our country.
They
brought us into this situation those among us who only thought about themselves
and did not concern themselves about the honour of our free people.
However, just the same we still have hope that from among those who worked for the freedom of Malta, we should have those who want to get back on the road so that Malta will regain total freedom from the EU rule.
Because we believe that we still have Maltese people who do not go by the saying that “My interests come before those of my children”, because for them Malta still comes first and foremost.
