WELCOME TO THE CNI WEBPAGE

CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE

Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers

and against Malta's membership of the European Union

WE SWEAR TO FREE MALTA FROM THE SLAVERY, COLONIALISM AND DICTATORIAL ILLEGAL EUROPEAN UNION RULE

TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM

The European Union ordered that in 2011 the Maltese and Gozitan people pay it €68,000,000

€186,000 daily stolen from your childrens mouths

The Shipyard should remain in Maltese Hands

It is not true that we cannot leave the European Union

See this European Parliament video that we can leave

The CNI is sorry to see that all politicians say that they agree with privatization, once the European Union wants privatization.

We became parrots who repeat what the European Union says, and we are not capable to see what is best for our country and not to accept those things that are not good for our people.

Behind the call for privatization of the Shipyard, there is its sale to foreigners.

It is not going to be in the hands of the Maltese private sector, but is going to become a foreigner’s property.

More than privatization, we are going to have a denationalization of the Shipyard, because that which today is the property of our country, tomorrow is not going to remain so because it is going to pass into foreign hands.

The Maltese politicians know this, and are happy that this national shame is going to happen.

We the CNI do not agree with this.

We believe that the Malta Shipyard should remain Maltese property and not the property of foreigners.

We want the foreigners to help us to manage, not manage us.

After we learn how to manage like them, we thank them and pay them, and we will continue to manage ourselves.

It is only in this way that sustainable development of our country can happen – that with time we become capable of managing our affairs and not depend on the foreigners.

If we remain dependent on the foreigners, we risk that the foreigners go to another place, leave us like what has been done by foreign owners who took their factories from our country to other countries where they could make more profit.

Once the Government wants to obey the European Union and not remain the owner of the Shipyard, the
CNI insists that the workers who want to continue to work in it should take the Shipyard and the Government will be paid its ground rent and lease.

The workers who do not want to take the government offer and retire from working in the Shipyard, would do well to unite together in a cooperative to continue to work in the Shipyard and they take the fruit of their work.

The CNI understands that it will be good for the Shipyard Workers Cooperative to have a strategic partner with managerial experience in the ship repair shipbuilding and yachts sectors who would be able to contribute both in professional management as well as the vast potential marketing.

The technical management of work at the Shipyard can remain in the hands of the Maltese managers and Maltese technicians, who are well capable in their respective trades.

The strategic partner should have a minority share in the partnership between himself and the Shipyard Workers Cooperative, but just the same will have the professional management of this partnership.

The Government, who does not want to remain the owner of the Shipyard and neither to manage it, should not object to pass on the Shipyard to the Shipyard Workers Cooperative and its strategic partner.

The Government is not going to be allowed to give any further aid to the Shipyard after the end of this year.

If they pass on the Shipyard to the workers and their strategic partner, the government obeys the Union and will not continue to give subsidies.

Thus the Shipyard will be privatized, but not denationalized because it will remain in Maltese hands and the workers who do not want to retire voluntarily from work and take the sum offered by the government, will continue to work and earn their living from the Shipyard, while they contribute to the economic and social good of the country.
