WE SWEAR TO FREE MALTA FROM THE SLAVERY, COLONIALISM AND DICTATORIAL ILLEGAL EUROPEAN UNION RULE

TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM

In the seven years 2007 – 2013 the Maltese and Gozitans are going to pay €360,000,000 to the European Union

After the Maltese Parliament ratified the Constitutional Treaty: the CNI is going to intensify the campaign for the agreement with the EU to be changed

The Chairman of the Campaign for National Independence (CNI) Dr Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici said that notwithstanding that in the past days Parliament had voted in favour of the EU constitutional treaty, the CNI intends to intensify its campaign in favour of the changes that need to be made to the agreement made with the EU.

It shall continue to do so until the majority of the people understands the usefulness of the changes that have top be made and forces the political parties to wok for this scope.

When he was addressing a press conference, Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici said that the CNI never expected that Parliament was going to accept a debate against the Constitution of Malta, but a vote in favour of the ratification of this treaty is not going to stop CNI from continuing with its useful work for all the Maltese people.

In the
CNI’s opinion, added Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici, this decision increases the separation between the people and the politicians as has happened in other EU countries about the Constitution.

Mifsud Bonnici said that this criticism is being directed towards the whole Parliament and not only towards the Labour Opposition.

He also said that these are the opinions of the CNI and not his own as a delegate of the Labour Party.

He also added that
CNI is objecting that the consent arrived at in the Maltese Parliament be interpreted as reflecting some popular consent on the new EU Constitution.

Every Maltese public opinion poll showed that a substantial percentage of the Maltese and Gozitans did not agree with it.

He continued to say that CNI also deplored the fact that in Parliament there was no serious debate on the provisions of the European Constitution and how these hit the Maltese people.

He said that neither were addressed the complaints and objections that were raised on the European Constitution by the peoples of Europe.

CNI also showed its concern for the fact that the Maltese Parliament neither considered the necessary measures for our industry and commerce in our country to safeguard against the negative impact of globalization sustained by the EU policy, and neither for the loss of competitivity of our country that the EU policy is increasing and for the lack of productive investment that the EU policy is causing in our country.

Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici said that the Maltese Parliament approved the declaration that the EU constitution and laws prevail over the constitution of Malta.

Parliament does not have the power to pass a law that prevails over the Constitution of Malta if previously it does not amend the Constitution.

That is why, he added, Parliament acted against the constitution when it approved that declaration about the supremacy of the European Union constitution on the Constitution of Malta.

Parliament also went against the oath of loyalty towards the Constitution of Malta that is taken on the appointment of the parliamentary members.

Through this decision, Malta will now have to follow an economic and monetary policy led according to the principle of an open market economy with free competition that does not give any protection from the negative effects of globalization, and a common agricultural and fisheries policy that destroys the agricultural and fisheries in our country, and an industrial policy that does not permit aid that are considered that can lead to unfair competition.
