WELCOME TO THE CNI WEBPAGE
CAMPAIGN FOR NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE
Was, is and shall remain in favour of Maltese workers
and against Malta's membership of the European Union
The European Union ordered that as from 2010 the Maltese and Gozitan people pay it
€182,192 daily stolen from your childrens mouths
TELL YOUR PARLIAMENTARY DEPUTY THAT YOU WANT MALTA TO REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND FREEDOM
Air Malta is a victim of EU membership

According to the policy and directives of the European Union
According to the policy and directives of the Union, businesses and other works that Air Malta had and from which it earned money, did not remain in Air Malta’s hands, and because of this it lost the income that it had from them.
An Air Malta subsidiary company, Air Supplies, which among its businesses it had was that of running the Duty Free shops at the airport, was taken from Air Malta to be passed on to private enterprise.
The profit that it used to make was lost to Air Malta and is now going into
private hands.

The government decided that the hotels were not part of an air company’s business, and therefore Air Malta had to pass them on to private enterprises.
Outside Malta, many national air carriers have, or manage, hotels.
But this does not apply to Air Malta.
Work at the airport which used to be carried out by Air Malta employees, such as the loading and unloading of cargo, the cleaning of aircraft between flights, and other work which used to result in good profit for Air Malta, was taken from Air Malta and given to local or foreign private enterprise.
This reduced Air Malta’s yearly income

The airport
terminal generates money.
It was separated from Air Malta under a parastatal company.
But because of the EU directives and policy, the Airport Terminal company ended up in private hands with a foreign majority.
Air Malta has to pay aircraft ‘landing charges’ to the Air Terminal company, and the greater part of this company's profit is going outside Malta.

Before EU membership, the Maltese government used to limit the flights to Malta
by foreign air carriers, from airports also used by Air Malta.
Thus Air Malta was assured of a greater share of the traffic from these
airports.
Thus Air Malta reduced the percentage of passengers that it carried from Union member countries airports.
These factors forced Air Malta in its current bad situation after three years that our country had become a Union member.
As a result a number of Maltese pilots have left Air Malta.
Their loss is also a loss for our country
Simon Busuttil and E.U.’s Myths

This time he did not hide behind MIC’s smokescreen, but was dressed in blue, as after all he usually does.
In his article entitled “The Road to Damascus”, he tried to ridicule the Labour Opposition because he said it had committed a U-turn when it changed its position vis-à-vis the E.U.
The Labour Party has insisted that it was bound to respect the people’s decision in favour of joining the E.U., a decision expressed during the 2003 General Election.
We have always insisted that the decision as expressed in the referendum and the General Election was not a democratic one because the results waere obtained through deceit.
To-day, the many thousands of Maltese and Gozitans who have found a very different story from that which they had been made to swallow before the referendum and the General Election, are proof of how justified we (CNI) were when saying so.
We invite Dr Busuttil to ask:
*
The Hunters and Trappers,
*
The Fisherman,
*
Poultry Breeders,
*
The Farmers and
* The many thousands of young couples who must burden themselves for life in order to have somewhere to live.
One must keep in mind that this is the same Simon Bususttil who insisted that the Labour Party should change its policy vis-à-vis the E.U.
That meant that the Party should change its position and accept the membership in the E.U.
And after the delegates had voted that the Party accepts the people’s decision in favour of joining the E.U., he was in favour of the Labour Party.

We would like to remind Dr Busuttil what he, as well as his party used to say.
At the same time we would also like to invite him to say whether the following were myths or not.
“Lm100
million yearly from the E.U.”.
When we subtract what we are paying and that which we are losing because of our membership in the E.U. plus what we spend on the structures imposed on us by the E.U. we find that financially it works against us.
“It
is not true that we are going to be invaded by workers from Europe”.
800 Bulgarian workers are employed in the Malta Shipyard. These have deprived Maltese workers from an opportunity to work. Everywhere one goes one can observe foreign workers, 2,700 of who come from Europe; this information results from an answer given by Government to a parliamentary question.
“Hunting
and Trapping in the spring season will remain the same even after joining the
E.U.”
Ask the hunters and trappers about their present day opinion!
“In
the membership Treaty there is a safeguarding clause which is to be used if
farmers feel the need to protect themselves against importations which work
against their interests.”
Ask even them Dr Busuttil.
“The
E.U. has no say in matters of taxation.”
It ordered the Government to pass the Eco Tax and a tax on every energy product, VAT on 400 products and services, which previously were untaxed.

Be courageous enough and repeat these words in front of youths!
Just as we asked Dr Joanna Drake we also request Dr Simon Busutttl to confirm or deny that which we have written in this newspaper and which we have also voiced on Smash TV: that the Rome Treaty was only play acting because they only signed “a numbers of empty pages”, as was stated on BBC Radio 4 programme on 24th March 2007 by Pierre Pescatore, a Luxembourg lawyer, one of the few lawyers who gave a legal form to the Treaty of empty pages!
Go on Simon!
We shall continue to work for freedom from the EU
The opposition
by CNI for Malta’s membership in the European Union was born
when the Maltese government, after the 1998 General Election, started
negotiating with the Union for our country to join it.
After the
referendum and the 20043 General Election, CNI continued to press against membership in the Union, and on
29 March 2004, issued a solemn declaration to categorically denounce Malta’s
Membership Treaty in the European Union.
Malta joined the Union three years ago on 1 May 2004, and during the past three years, CNI continued to always increase its opposition to membership in the Union.
On the third
anniversary of our country’s membership in the European Union,
CNI confirmed all that it
had stated in its declaration of 29 March 2004, and stated that the bad effects
of membership that had occurred during the last three years, strengthened its
opinion that it is not in our people’s interest to be shackled with the
European Union’s yoke.
The damage to
our country from Union membership strengthened CNI’s will to increase its effort so that the Maltese people shall acquire
back as soon as possible their freedom and independence from the European Union.
Today it is
fitting that we again confirm all that we had stated in our solemn declaration
three years ago when we stated that:
• In the 2003 referendum, 53 from every one hundred Maltese and Gozitans did
not vote in favour of Union Membership.
• The consent of the Maltese and Gozitans was vitiated by deceit, lies, false
promises that amount to fraud, moral violence and threats.
• The European Union, in breach of the law, took a great part and paid huge
amounts of money for propaganda to influence the people.
• On State radio and Television, the balance required by law between those in
favour and those against membership was not maintained.
• Therefore, the consent of the Maltese people for the Accession Treaty was vitiated and was not obtained by just, valid, democratic and popular means.
• In view of the lack of a just consent of the people, the Government did not
have the mandate to bind the people with the Accession Treaty in the Union.
• Malta’s Accession Treaty in the Union violates the Constitution of Malta
and should be considered null and without effect.
In the 29 March declaration three years ago, CNI stated:
• That the Maltese people have a right to work to renounce Malta’s
Membership Treaty in the Union.
• That the Maltese people have a right to acquire back full freedom,
independence and national sovereignty.
• That the Maltese people have a right to again embrace a policy of active
neutrality and peaceful cooperation with all the people that like them believe
and work for the same policy.
• And CNI is not going to stop from fighting to encourage the pople to work so that these holy national objectives will be realised.
We are reproducing the writings of Eddy Privitera “With a dedication to the
European Union that hid a secret for 50 years”, in its proper form as it
should have been published.
We apologize to Eddy!
This is a very freehand translation which does not do justice to Eddy's writing in Maltese, but it should give our English readers an insight of what Eddy was writing about.
Poem

Of the Rome
Treaty that had been made,
Was the greatest play that had ever been staged in Rome,
And that it was a play no one had managed to realize!
after a lot of hard work,
They signed a document without realizing what was missing
The document
that the European leaders had signed,
Was a lot of blank papers, that were nothing worth!
Who would have told the journalists and the many guests
That the farce that was played would remain hidden for years!
That on that fraud would the curtain be raised!
On the 9th of May – Europe Day – I wish to propose,
That the Maltese
and the Gozitans a lesson should learn.
On that day in
Valletta, Dr Joanna Drake,
Should cut a big pie, instead of cutting a cake!
(The expression "a pie" in Maltese means when someone botches something. A "big pie" is a big botch up)
